This 24 hour 7 days a week mental health service to support callers who are looking for support for suicidal help, self-harming thoughts or behaviours, overwhelming anxiety, difficulty coping with distress, psychotic or distorted thinking, depression, substance use difficulties or any other self-identified mental health concerns.
This service is for children, youth and adults experiencing a mental health crisis or mental distress.
The crisis line also supports families, friends, community agencies and others to manage mental health crisis through education, outreach and consultation.
This service is available 24/7, in English and French and for the hearing impaired.
There are also interpretation services available in over 100 languages. 211 assist in find services and programs offered by local community groups, non profits and government departments.
The Mi'kmaq Crisis Line is available to First Nation communities across Nova Scotia, 24 hours a day, in their own language, by calling 1-855-379-2099
